Finance & Operations Associate (Junior Financial Controller)

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Associate (Junior Financial Controller) who will not only keep our books in order, but also support with basic HR and admin functions as we scale across MENA. This role is hands-on and versatile: youโ€™ll be responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while also assisting in HR operations (contracts, payroll coordination, onboarding) and general administration (vendor coordination, office ops). You will play a key role in keeping ordable/ financially disciplined, compliant, and operationally smooth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance & Accounting:
    • Maintain bookkeeping for all ordable/ entities.
    • Record and reconcile invoices, payments, expenses, payroll, and intercompany entries.
    • Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, cash flow, variance vs. budget).
    • Track and summarize SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, NRR, CAC, LTV) with commentary.
    • Support VAT, tax filings, and audit requirements.
  • HR & People Support:
    • Assist in employee onboarding/offboarding (contracts, documents, systems access).
    • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
    • Coordinate payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, benefits) with external providers.
    • Support employee engagement and HR admin tasks (letters, policies, leave tracking).
  • Administration & Operations:
    • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts (e.g., office, utilities, software tools).
    • Organize and maintain financial and administrative documentation.
    • Support leadership with ad hoc reporting and operational tasks.
    • Assist with cross-functional coordination between finance, HR, and customer-facing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or admin roles.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and reconciliations; SaaS exposure is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HR admin (contracts, payroll, compliance) in at least one GCC/MENA country.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, or ERP).
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for reconciliations and simple reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to balance finance, HR, and admin tasks.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
